SAROD has been incorporated under Societies Registration Act, 1860 on 25th October 2013 formed by NHAI along with NHBF for settlement of Disputes through Arbitration in a cost effective and time bound manner. Main objective of SAROD are:-
To reduce cost of arbitration.
For expeditious disposal of disputes in just and fair manner.
To reduces pendency of disputes.
To evolve subject matter technical experts in arbitration process.
Role of Authority, Concessionaire, and Contractors is vital in development of infrastructure and rapid economic growth of the Country. So, if the role of Arbitrators in SAROD in accelerating the growth of infrastructure by providing just, fair and speedy mechanism for resolution of dispute through Arbitrations.
SAROD has resolved any dispute or difference whatsoever arising between the parties and of or relating to the construction, interpretation, application, meaning, scope, operation or effect of this contract or the validity or the breach thereof, shall be settled by Arbitration in accordance with the rules of Arbitration of the “SAROD” and the Award made in pursuance thereof shall be final and binding on the parties subject to provisions of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
